We are absolutely committed to implementation and enforcement of an effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery not taking place in any part of our business activities or in our supply chains.

Hertsmere Valley Care Services is committed to providing individually tailored care and support capable of evolving needs of the services user change.

Our Staffs are employed for their professional attributes, reliability, dedication, honesty and sensitivity. They undergo a comprehensive interview and they are screened for these qualities.

OUR STATEMENT

Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

INTRODUCTION

Hertsmere Valley Care Services offers the following statement with regard to the steps taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking within our supply chain in line with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Hertsmere Valley Care Services has zero tolerance towards modern slavery and human trafficking. Any concern to Modern Slavery and human trafficking will be escalated as part of Hertsmere Valley Services safeguarding process, working in line with the Care Quality Commission, Local Authority agencies and the NHS.

All members of staff have a personal responsibility for the successful prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking with the Human resource department taking responsibility for overall compliance. Hertsmere Valley Care Services has also set in motions the following policies and processes to deter any form of Modern human trafficking, this includes:

  • A dedicated safeguarding Lead.

  • Pre-employment checks: We carryout checks on every job applicant such as checking UK Address, right to work in the UK, References.

  • Mandatory Safeguarding training for every Hertsmere Valley Care services employees regardless of their position in the organisation.

  • A safeguarding policy for Adults which highlights Modern slavery and our responses to any identified safeguarding concern.

  • We defined system which encourages the reporting of any concern and the protection of whistle blowers.

  • We intend to take further steps to identify, assess and monitor potential risk areas in terms of modern slavery and human trafficking, particularly in our supply chains.

  • We support our staff to understand and respond to modern slavery and human trafficking.

  • We will Monitor, review and update our actions in relation to modern slavery annually
